c.mank | Camille Mank – Astronaut

Camille Mank, who also goes by the moniker “c.mank”, is a German artist known particularly for her work in Pan-Plastic. The plastic mix series she creates comprises 9 versions of the same work in 9 different variations – all incorporating Pan. It is a character form of an existing painting (“Oil Bath” – 2010) which was digitally extracted and transferred onto a sectioned plexiglass stencil using acrylic paints.

In addition, she has created a series of the same work with the push of a button. Camille Mank takes photographs of Pan using different filters to produce a strong visual alteration.

Another series made by c.mank and titled ” X-rays ” illustrates the theme of this print edition. This one involved touching up a finished work by exposing it to X-rays. The result had an impressive effect, lending a special observational aesthetic to the viewer. All the pictures in the X-Ray Edition are unique.

At present, Camille Mank lives and works in Cologne, however, she is active on both local and international markets.
