Francis Tucker – Snoopy
Francis Tucker was born in Cologne in 1964. After his studies he began to focus his work in 1995 in the style of Pop Art. In his colorful paintings there are often easy figures, which are only represented by a black line start. Moreover, the figures have the name “Tucker”. Francis Tucker – Snoopy
The line, as the central design characteristic, gives his pictures their main content. An optical reference to the American artist Keith Haring, who died in 1990, seems recognizable.
But on closer inspection, it quickly becomes clear that Francis Tucker’s pictures are motionless. They are incapable of action, but leading actors who achieve a meaning in a color-intensive world. Down to the essentials with a strong expression in its totality. Snoopy
Happy, mostly at first sight. Characteristic of the painter’s work is the wide variety of his colourful forms of expression in acrylic on various materials. His paintings can already be found in public German collections. There are also in private collections across Europe and in New York. Francis Tucker – Snoopy
